శరణాగతి ( Surrender!)

శ్రీసాయినాథాయనమః

గజేంద్రుని ఆర్తి, భగవంతుని భక్తరక్షణ.   శ్రీమద్భాగవతము, బమ్మెర పోతన 

"లావొక్కింతయు లేదు ధైర్యము విలోలంబయ్యె బ్రాణముబులున్,
ఠావుల్దప్పెను మూర్ఛవచ్చె థనువున్ డస్సెన్ శ్రమంబయ్యెడిన్,
నీవేతప్ప నితఃపరం బెఱుఁగ మన్నింపందగు దీనునిన్ ,
రావే యీశ్వర కావవే వరద సంరక్షింపుము  భద్రాత్మకా."

ఈశ్వరా! నేనింతసేపు ఈమొసలితో చేతనయినంతవరకు బోరాడితిని. నాబలమంతయు తగ్గినది. గెలుతుననెడి ధైర్యము పోయినది. నా ప్రాణములు పైకెగిరి పోతున్నాయి. మైకము వస్తోంది. దేహం అలసటగా వుంది. ఇకనేను దీనితో పోట్లాడలేను. ఓఈశ్వరా నీవుదప్ప వేరెవ్వరు తెలియదు. నా అపరాధముల మన్నించి, యో భగవంతుడా! నాకడకేగుదెంచి, నాబాధల దొలఁగించి నన్ను కాపాడుము.

"సిరికింజెప్పడు శంఖచక్ర యుగముం జేదోయి సంధింపడే,
పరివారంబును జీర డభ్రగపతిం మన్నింపడా కర్ణికాం,
తర ధమ్మిల్లము జక్కనొత్తడు వివాద ప్రోద్దిత శ్రీకుచో,
పరిచేలాంచల మైన వీడడు గజప్రాణావనోత్సాహియై. "

ఆవిధంగా శ్రీమన్నారాయణుడు తానుభక్త పరాధీనుడు కావున దన భక్తుడగు గజేంద్రుని యాపద దొలఁగించి కాపాడగోరి బయలుదేరి, యా తొందరలో లక్ష్మీదేవితోనూ  చెప్పక, శంఖచక్రములను ధరింపక, భటులనుగూడ తీసికొనిపోక, గరుడుని మీద నెక్కక, జారిన జుట్టుముడి వేసికొనక, లక్ష్మీదేవి పైటకొంగును విడువక బయలుదేరెను.

గజేంద్రుని రక్షణకు శ్రీమన్నారాయణుడేవిధంగా వైకుంఠాన్నుంచి పరుగులతో  వచ్చారో, సాయిగూడా తమభక్తుల కరుణతోడను, మనోవేగంతోడను రక్షిస్తారు, రక్షిస్తున్నారు. ఇందులకు శ్రీసాయిసచ్చరిత్రము ఏడవ అధ్యాయములోని లోని  రెండు సత్వర భక్తరక్షణా లీలల  స్మరించెదము.

" 1910వ సంవత్సరము దీపావళిముందురోజగు ఘనత్రయోదశినాడు బాబా ధునివద్ద కూర్చుండి చలికాచుకొనుచు, ధునిలో కట్టెలువేయుచుండెను. ధునిబాగుగా మండుచుండెను. కొంతసేపయిన తరువాత హఠాత్తుగ కట్టెలకు మారు తనచేతిని ధునిలో పెట్టి, నిశ్చలముగయుండిపోయిరి. మంటలకు చేయి కాలిపోయెను. మాధవుడనే నౌకరును, మాధవరావు దేశపాండేయు దీనినిజూచి, వెంటనే బాబావైపునకు పరుగిడిరి. మాధవరావు దేశపాండే బాబా నడుమును పట్టుకొని బలముగ వెనుకకు లాగెను. " దేవా! ఇట్లేల చేసితిర " ని బాబా నడిగిరి. (మరోలోకములో యుండినట్లుండిన)  బాబా బాహ్యస్మృతి తెచ్చుకొని , " ఇక్కడకు చాలాదూరములో ఒక కమ్మరి స్త్రీ తన బిడ్డను యొడిలో నుంచుకొని, కొలిమినూదుచుండెను. అంతలో నామె భర్త పిలిచెను. తన యొడిలో బిడ్డయున్న సంగతి మరచి ఆమె తొందరగా లేచెను. బిడ్డ మండుచున్న కొలిమిలో బడెను. వెంటనే నాచేతిని కొలిమిలోనికి దూర్చి ఆ బిడ్డను రక్షించితిని. నా చేయి కాలితే కాలినది. అది నాకంత బాధాకరం కాదు. కాని బిడ్డ రక్షింపబడెనను విషయము నా కానందము గలుగచేయుచున్న "  దని జవాబిచ్చెను. " 

" అమరావతి నివాసి యగు దాదాసాహేబు ఖాపర్డే భార్య తన చిన్న కొడుకుతో కలిసి షిరిడీలో కొన్నిదినములుండెను. ఒకనాడు ఖాపర్డే కుమారునికి తీవ్ర జ్వరము వచ్చెను. అది ప్లేగు జ్వరము క్రింద మారెను. తల్లి మిక్కిలి భయపడెను. షిరిడీ విడచి అమరావతి పోవలెననుకొని సాయంకాలము బాబా బూటీవాడా వద్దకు వచ్చుచున్నప్పుడు వారిని సెలవు నడుగబోయెను. గద్గద కంఠముతో తన చిన్నకొడుకు ప్లేగుతో పడియున్నాడని బాబాకు చెప్పెను. బాబా యామెతో దయతో మృదువుగ నిట్లనెను: " ప్రస్తుతము ఆకాశము మబ్బుపట్టియున్నది. కొద్దిసేపటిలో మబ్బులన్నియు చెదిరిపోయి , ఆకాశము నిర్మలమగును." అట్లనుచు బాబా కఫ్నీని పై కెత్తి, చంకలో కోడిగ్రుడ్లంత పరిమాణముగల నాలుగు ప్లేగు పొక్కులను చూపుచూ, " నా భక్తులకొరకు నేనెట్లు  బాధపడెదనో చూడుము! వారి కష్టములన్నియు నావే!"  ఈ మహాద్భుత లీలను జూచిన జనులకు, మహాత్ములు తమ భక్తుల బాధలు తామే యెట్లుస్వీకరింతురో యను విషయము స్పష్టమయ్యెను.  మహాత్ముల మనస్సు మైనముకన్న మెత్తనిది. వెన్నవలె మృదువైనది. వారు భక్తులను ప్రత్యుపకారమేమియు ఆశింపక ప్రేమించెదరు. భక్తులనే తమ స్వజనులుగా భావించెదరు. "
