" ఒకరోజు బాబా నిష్కారణంగా " అబ్బా" యని కేక పెట్టారు. తక్షణమే ఆయన తలకు వంటికీ వున్న గుడ్డలన్నీ తడిసి, నీరు బొట్లుగా పడి మడుగు కట్టింది. భక్తులాశ్చర్య పోయారుగాని ఆయననడిగే ధైర్యంలేదు. మూడవరోజున సాయి తనను రక్షించినందుకు టెలిగ్రాంద్వారా కృతజ్ఞత తెలిపాడు జహంగీరు. అసలు వృత్తాంతమిది: రష్యా-జపాన్ యుద్ధంలో అతడొక నౌకాధిపతి. తన మూడు నౌకలను శత్రువులు ముంచివేసారు. తన నౌకను కాపాడమని అతడు కన్నీటితో బాబాను ప్రార్ధించాడు. సాయి అతనిముందు కనపడి ఆ నౌకను ఒడ్డుచేర్చారు.
